Whats On

Congratulations to all on the amazing efforts and achievements this season.

Senior and Junior presentations were a success and congratulations to all who won awards.

Our community sports day in collaboration with our friends at Burwood Tennis Club was a great success. Thanks to Kelly Sports for coming out and running the activities on the day.

The Burwood Cricket Club Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be happening soon. More information will follow so stay tuned.

Sunday Turf Premiership

Congratulations to our Sunday 1st XI who have gone back to back winning their second Grand Final in a row by 4 wickets!

Riley Grainger top scored with the bat making 32 of the best to secure the best on ground award.

Congratulations to captains Scott Grainger and Andrew Shaw on their incredible efforts this season!

Under 18 Premiership

Congratulations to our Under 18 boys who after finishing the home and away season on top of the ladder, won their Grand Final by 1 run!

An absolutely incredible effort by the boys getting the job done in the most dramatic of ways.

Best on ground honours went to Raph Deane-Johns who top scored with 43 runs

Congratulations to captain Hamish Kenny and Coach Matthew Adams for an amazing season

ALL ABILITIES BLAST

At Burwood we have seen amazing growth and success in our All Abilities Blast program since its begun.

Congratulations to all our participants this season it has been amazing to watch you grow, thrive and enjoy playing cricket.

We would like to extend our continued support and thanks to all our volunteers who allow us to keep this amazing program running.

As well we would like to thank the Boroondara Council, Access Health and Community and Cricket Victoria for their support in assisting us with the program.

We are now a proudly Gold Medal accredited Good Sports club. We adhere to the principle of providing a safe, inclusive environment where everyone can get involved and do their bit within the club. From alcohol management to safe transport, Good Sports is helping our club put in place the policies for when we need it most.

Burwood Cricket Club was awarded an ‘Inclusive Clubs’ proud member status in 2021. We are working and will continue to work very closely with governments at all levels, as well as Cricket Victoria to drive initiatives at our Club to support every member of our community.

Our All Abilities Blast program as well as special rounds during the season including mental health awareness, indigenous, pride and harmony reflect our Club’s strong and ongoing commitment to equality and inclusion.
